I'm proud to introduce everyone to a fairly new photographer, Cindy Skeie. She's had a passion for photography for years, but only recently fell in love with macro photography, the art of taking up-close photos of small subjects. You wouldn't be able to tell she started taking these photos only about a year ago! From Cindy's backyard to Central America, she can find the beauty in ordinary things like water drops and bugs and turn them into breathtaking works of art.
You can find numerous galleries of photos on Cindy's website, SkeieScapes. I would say there are 100s of different photos of flowers alone, along with dragonflies, frost, and intricate patterns found in sand and tree bark. Any image seen on the site can be purchased in several sizes of prints, from 5x7 to 16x20, and all can be purchased in a matted version as well.
My Opinion
Now, I'm not a photography expert, but I know good work when I see it! I mean it when I say Cindy's work could easily be featured in National Geographic. I was drawn mostly to the "purple flowers" gallery. Although, the images I saw in the "water drops" category were amazing. The website is very user friendly, making it easy to browse.
I was sent a calendar to review. I was happy to receive it since I actually DON'T have a calendar for this year! It features 12 stunning photos of various flowers. It was of very nice quality, thick pages. It has all holidays listed so you know exactly what day each falls on, which is good for me because I'm never sure of holiday dates other than Christmas or Halloween!
Cindy would love to offer one of you the chance to win the same calendar I received!
