Scampi the Scallop: A New Children's Book Coming To Shelves Soon (Giveaway)

I am delighted to introduce you all to Scampi the Scallop, a new children's book that hasn't even hit shelves yet! It is written by Mi-sA-lê Fransen, and has a release date of July 5, 2011. 


SYNOPSIS: It is intuitive that we want to turn away from danger and trouble. But many times, we can't. Then we have to stand up and fight. The book portrays the importance of the ingrained example that parents and elders set to encourage survival in children, to trigger a child into recognizing danger and not expect a "feel good" approach is the best. Just like Scampi the Scallop's house could not protect him. Scampi still had to do something! But what?


The situation applies in all levels of life and society. It is food for thought and encouragement for the reader, as well as the child being read to. The story is set in the ocean and comes to life with beautiful and professional illustrations.

Scampi the Scallop is the result of a great experience the author had being a grandmother.
